Too long?!

In his interview with CNN Money, Shigeru Miyamoto says that current videogames are too long.

Maybe something has changed in the two years since I got out of the videogame retail business, but when I was there, the most common complaint I heard about games was that they were too short!

When you pay $50 for a game, and beat it in 8 hours, or maybe 4 hours (or in the case of "The Bouncer," 2 hours), many people did not think that they were getting their money's worth. Granted, there are games like GTA which are really big and eventually get to the point where you feel like they may be a little too long, but isn't that a good thing (particularly in situations where you don't have to do every single little thing available in the game to beat it)?
