Pure comedy....

According to The Hollywood Reporter (via Gamespot), Uwe Boll's upcoming game-to-movie epic, Dungeon Siege, is going to be SO EPIC that the film is being split into two releases.

The first film, called "In the Name of the King" is set to be released 11/03/2006, with the second installment coming out 12/01/2006.

Variety had an article a few days ago mentioning that this coming year is likely to be the last for German tax-sheltering for movie financing, and with that, Boll announced a slate of new projects he plans on working on, including a Postal film (based on the game series, featuring Gary Coleman).

I'm hopeful that when these two Dungeon Siege films are released, Boll's company tries to have somesort of tie in advertising with his previous films to boost interest in them and this movie; something along the lines of MovieCash being packaged in with a new special edition DVD release of House of the Dead. Or maybe a two-pack featuring House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, and the movie cash for "In the Name of the King."

I'm sure the line outside of Walmart on release day would be enormous.

  • Is Burt Reynolds turning into Sean Connery?

  • I sat with Chris Taylor this last weekend, but I didn't get a chance to ask him about this. From what I know and what I've seen, I think they're letting the producers handle all of the movie stuff and just waiting to see what happens.
