Interesting Business News....

First off, Morton's of Chicago had an IPO today. It's not the first time the company has been publicly traded. Their ticker symbol is MRT, over 8 million shares were traded today, putting the stock up 5%.

Secondly, Disney has reacquired the rights to "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" from NBC/Universal. The cost? Al Michaels, long time ABC broadcaster who didn't want to switch to ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast, instead opting for NBC's new Sunday Night Football (which the NFL is trying to position as their new featured game of the week).

This is certainly an interesting move, but it makes sense. There's apparently been a lot of simmering anger over not having the rights to Oswald at Disney, since the character was one of Walt Disney's original creations. When he didn't retain the rights to Oswald, he created Mickey Mouse. ESPN also got some expanded sports coverage rights out of the deal.
